Adukkuvilakku is a traditional lamp which is used for performing special Pooja at temple. Special Arathis at particular times are performed everyday in all temples. These Poojas are performed according to tradition and they have different significance. For performing Pooja different types of lamps are used.
Adukkuvilakku has steps with a handle. Oil wicks and camphors are placed and lit for performing Pooja. This lamp is also known as Alangara vilakku.
