The Japa mala ends with a Quartz guru bead and silk tassel.

The silk used for making the tassels are handspun on the spinning wheel and is coloured using vegetable dyes.

This short mala is handmade and knotted in the traditional way to allow the seeds to move easily along your fingers.

Hand japa mala are the shortened form of the japa mala or spiritual mala of 108 beads. The Hand mala will only have a total of 27 beads and after every 7th bead is a crystal or gemstone spacer. Four rounds around the hand mala would complete the 108 count.

This japa mala comes in a Khadi (organic cotton) pouch block printed with vegetable dyes and sewn by an NGO in Delhi that provides skills training to underprivileged young women. We support local artisans all around India. We support fair trade.
